Hydrafacial Process
The Hydrafacial begins with relaxing Lymphatic drainage that improves circulation of the lymph system and helps to eliminate toxins. Next is a gentle physical exfoliation to remove any surface-level dirt or dead skin, using the patented Hydrafacial cleansing wand. Once your skin is clean, our beauty aesthetician at our Wilmslow clinic will perform a gentle Hydrafacial peel to remove a deeper layer of dead, loose skin as well as ‘loosen’ dirt and sebum trapped in the pores; this will smooth the surface of the skin, improve any acne and enhance the absorption of the hydration serum later in the process.
After your two forms of exfoliation, an extraction process will be performed using the Hydrafacial wand to remove any unwanted congestion and extract any deep pore debris lurking beneath the top layer of the skin. For the fifth step, the Hydrafacial wand’s serum will be applied to the skin. The serum is a patented Hydra Facial formula containing peptides, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid to give an ultra-hydrating burst of hydration to leave your skin glowing and rejuvenated. For the final (and most relaxing!) step, your spa aesthetician will finish with red and infrared LED light to reduce redness and further stimulate anti-aging collagen to improve elasticity, supporting the natural production of vitamin D.

Frequently asked questions
The Hydrafacial is much more than your average facial. It helps to resurface your skin, clean out your pores and hydrate your skin. It involves a six-step process that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration to remove dead skin cells, impurities and deliver moisture to the skin.
Your Hydrafacial treatment will start detoxing the skin through lymphatic drainage to increase blood flow and circulation in the area. Next, we exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells and excess sebum.
Once your skin is fully cleansed, we will provide you with a gentle Hydrafacial peel to loosen any debris in your pores. The Hydrafacial wand then extracts loose debris and impurities to reduce congestion.
This is followed by a Hydrafacial formula that includes antioxidants and hyaluronic acid to help plump your skin and hydrate it. Finally, red and infrared LED light will help to reduce redness, inflammation and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin to strengthen your skin.

Yes, the Hydrafacial provides great results for most skin types. You should not have treatment if you have a rash, sunburn or rosacea. One of our spa aestheticians will assess your skin at your consultation to ensure that you are suitable for treatment. If you are not suitable, we will recommend alternative treatment options.
You will start to notice that your skin looks brighter and more refreshed after your first treatment. Your results will continue to improve with each treatment.
Hydrafacial is an effective treatment to help tackle active acne. It also helps to reduce oily skin, which is one of the main reasons breakouts occur.
By using active acids, Hydrafacial exfoliates the skin and removes dead skin cells, which relieves congested skin while cleansing your pores.
Following a course of treatment, you will see skin that is visibly clearer and healthier looking.
You will start to see results from your first Hydrafacial treatment, however, we do advise that you have a course of at least three treatments that are 4 weeks apart.
The number of Hydrafacial treatments you will need will depend on your skin concerns and skin type. Oily skin or acne-prone skin may need more frequent sessions.
To achieve long-term results, we advise monthly to three monthly top-up treatments.
The side effects from Hydrafacial treatment are minimal and you can go back to your normal activities straight away. You may experience some mild skin peeling in the first few days after your treatment. This is completely normal and all part of the skin rejuvenation process.
If you have some congestion within your skin, you may also see a small breakout. Again, this is normal and you can expect it to clear up within a few days. Your practitioner will talk you through what to expect after your Hydrafacial and how you can look after your skin post-treatment to get the most out of your results.
Following your Hydrafacial, you should protect your skin by avoiding excessive sun exposure and tanning for at least 72 hours. You should also avoid exposure to excessive heat such as hot showers, saunas or steam rooms for 24 hours.
Do not use any harsh exfoliants or acid-based skin products for at least 2-3 days. This also includes any vitamin A or retinol products. Only use gentle cleansers and moisturisers to help keep the skin hydrated. Always end your skincare routine with sun protection. We recommend using at least an SPF30+.
Ideally, you should not apply make-up for the remainder of the day after your treatment. This will allow your skin and pores to breathe.
The Hydrafacial is a non-invasive treatment that our clients describe as cooling, comfortable and relaxing. You may feel a slight pressure from the device during treatment as the water suction helps to cleanse and remove dead skin cells. This will not cause you any discomfort.
The cost of Hydrafacial treatment starts from £150. Your spa aesthetician will discuss how many treatments you will need during your consultation.
